We take a look at this stunning kitchen using our natural stone and chat with interior designer, Gavin Hepper, about his vision and stone choice for the project…

We chatted with Gavin to get more insight into this luxury project:

Which project did you use Cav’art’s stone for?  Our Sorrento Project – a luxury apartment renovation specification.

What stone did you use and why? Taj Mahal. Such a stunning stone, with warm neutral tones and subtle veining, it is very approachable and really elevates the materiality around it.

What was the client’s brief? The Sorrento project is an apartment renovation for resale purposes. The interior selections needed to be very approachable to suit a broad clientele. We specified a luxe Mediterranean Coastal Hotel-inspired palette, with the beautiful Taj Mahal as the centrepiece to a warm neutral and organic palette.

Were they involved in the stone selection? Yes they were, stone selection can be quite overwhelming, but the team at Cavart make the process quite seamless and very enjoyable

What was the client’s reaction when seeing the finished result? The clients are extremely happy with the finishes and selections in the Sorrento project, and the kitchen with the Taj Mahal stone is really the showpiece and heart of this gorgeous renovation.

Why did you choose Cav’art’s stone? Cav’art provides unparallel service when it comes to stone selection, they have all the key pieces represented but also have some very hard-to-get colours and species which really take our projects to the next level. These beautiful stone selections are often key pieces that anchor our projects and that we can then design and specify around.

Would you recommend Cav’art, and why? We recommend Nathan and the Cav’art team for your stone needs, their customer service is outstanding and product selection is extensive. We consider Cav’art one of our preferred partners in our interior design business.
