We take a look at this beautiful contemporary renovation using our natural stone and chat with interior designer, Kate Lawrence, about her inspiration and stone choice for the project…
We chatted with Kate to get more insight into this Maroubra project:
What stone did you use? Taj Mahal
What was the client’s brief? The client wanted a very soft and muted colour palette for her home. We played with subtle pink tones through concrete basins, complimented by gold tapware, with the hero piece being the Taj Mahal stone.
Were they involved in the stone selection? Yes, the client and I visited Nathan at the Cav’art showroom to select the slabs. We had an amazing day out!
What was the client’s reaction when seeing the finished result? She absolutely loved seeing it come to life. Particularly the kitchen which was the real showstopper for her.
Why did you choose Cav’art’s stone? Nathan from Cav’art is so personable and lovely to work with, but more importantly, is so knowledgeable about everything ‘stone’. He has been in the industry for a long time and imports nothing but the best stone. For me, it is all about the people behind these great businesses.
